Missing grandma already

Jordan is missing his Grammy Pammy already! He stayed up all day and didn't sleep a whole lot today. I am definitely tired. I am also very glad my mother is not nearby when she reads this, as Jordan might be without a mother. Jordan did sleep all but an hour last night though. Tonight may be a different story.

Mark had parent teacher conferences tonight and so Sandy came over to keep me company. With my mom and dad gone, it gets lonely when you are here by yourself with a one week old. While Sandy was here, we gave Jordan a bath. He has not yet realized that those are nice and fun.

Ahhh...

Jordan slept for several hours last night. I'm so happy I got rest. Thank goodness grandma was here to watch him last night. He is also finally asleep in the cradle that my dad made him. He is also enjoying grandpa time.

Where are you?

Still waiting. He's taking after his dad. He's taking his time and is really laid back. Let's be more like mom and want to arrive early!

Any Day now

Still "patiently" awaiting the arrival of our son. He is taking his sweet time and making me stay at work until the very end. We are very excited to welcome him to the world. I know Sandy and Mom Dillon jump every time the phone rings. Sandy has taken to calling just to make sure we didn't forget to let her know of the important happenings. We enjoyed a great lunch with Sandy and Andy after church today and are planning on a fish fry next Friday assuming we don't have a baby by then!

Snow Snow Snow

So when Sandy and Shawna complained that there was no snow in Eastern Kansas, they apparently made someone mad because now that is all there is. Not only snow but record low temperatures. Well, at least everyone had a white Christmas but is it really worth it to dig out the grill so you can make kabobs? We definitely thought so! Alton Brown would be so proud. Those of you who don't know, Mark got 2 Alton Brown books and we used his marinade to do the meat and the pineapple. Mark tried a grapefruit and banana on the grill as well, but decided the grapefruit was not worth it!
